When migrating from Dentisoft Desktop, there are a few steps involved in the process.
First, the data is backed up and migrated from Dentisoft Desktop. Utilities>Backup data files>select local and Dentisafe Back Up and check Migration to Dentisoft Office Cloud. Please notify our staff to let us know you will be doing this, and if you use Patient Reminders. We will migrate your data to your online office, and issue you a User Name and Password for the log in.
Once you have logged in, please check and compare the A/R reports, the production and collection reports, insurance carriers, fee schedules and spot check patient data. The information should be very close to what you have in the desktop software. When you are satisfied that the data is good, we will send a contract for the doctor to sign and return, and then a final migration will take place. Ideally it will be a few days between the first and final migration. If you submit eclaims, your account can be converted to the Cloud Pro with no loss of information or claims.
After the final migration the following will need to be checked and updated:
Office Manager numbers and information, including the activating the listing for DentistDirectory.com
At least one referral type needs to be added
Lunch times will need to be edited for the correct time frame
Update the ADA claim forms to ADA 2006 under Reports>Insurance>Update claim forms.
Active X settings and compatibility view need to be in place. www.dentisoft.com >Support>FAQs>IE settings
**Documents from DSD do not transfer, but will still be available in Dentisoft Desktop
**Tickler notes do not transfer on the appointment scheduler
